"I'm an avid bowhunter….decided to start using Phantoms®…XBLOCK made those Phantoms "sticky sharp" in no time…Wow this is a great sharpener."
Jack Zwickey, Zwickey Archery Inc.
"I wanted to thank you for sending one of your new XBLOCK broadhead sharpeners. I tried it and it is very effective…..Just a few strokes with file and medium grit diamond got them dangerously sharp, good enough for taking big-big game like Cape Buffalo, especially with the classy steel like the NO MERCY.

"There must be a hundred different broadhead sharpening tools on the market today. I'm constantly trying new ones in search for the perfect tool. I'm still not sure that there is any one tool that works for all occasions; however, I found one that is worth noting. This one is called the X-BLOCK (www.sportsandrectec.com, 1-800-279-1865)
This tool comes with three sets of diamond hones and one set of files (8 in total). Each of these sets can be placed on the "working block" in a concave or convex position (depending upon which side of the block you choose). These hones and files are attached to the "working block" by Velcro strips that are attached to the back of each. This tool works well for two, three or four blade broadheads and bleeder blades as well.
The only challenge I faced was sharpening a Grizzly Broadhead, since this head is designed to be sharpened on one side of the blade only (just de-burr the other side). I solved this problem by taking a piece of smooth metal stock and setting it on the block next to a single hone or file (I had to glue a velcro strip to the back side) By doing so, I could sharpen only one side of the blade at a time; then flip the blade over to sharpen the other side. The one thing that impressed me with this tool is the quality of the hones and files.
I recommend the X-BLOCK for your "home based" sharpening tool (too big and heavy to take in your pack). However, I do pack one medium and one fine diamond hone in my Cat-Quiver for touch up sharpening in the field."
